Proofreading and Editing

Ithaca Press will provide you a copy of your manuscript with proofreading and editing suggestions. You will then approve the changes. The proofreading includes corrections in spelling, punctuation and grammar. After you approve the changes, we then consider this the final manuscript. This becomes the final document used for printing your book.

We understand that it is often difficult to see your words edited. However, a well-proofread, well-edited book is usually necessary for you to have a professional book. It is impossible to guarantee that we will find every error, but our proofreaders and copy editors are among the best. We will send you a final galley proof for your approval before we print the book.
